Private Revolution

Wow! August tomorrow.

I remember writing in a previous post about my house flood and waiting for the insurance to get us back home, that was in December 2010.

We got our home back on Friday July 29th.

Talk about being fucked around, I have 2 girls aged 2 and 5 and the insurers moved us 9 times, that really is a strain on a family and it has taken its toll on us. We are almost through it now although the cowboy builders still have some things to address. I obviously can't mention names.

I've lost my cool a few times and have started legal proceedings through the omberdsman, we have had an offer of compensation but I would rather them have pissed in my pocket as the offer was for £500 (8 months of shit, 9 moves and just constant chasing). Through smart moves by my partner Elisabeth we are now dealing with the CEO of one of the biggest insurers in the world and we'll only accept a payout that merits our miserable last few months, so the coming weeks should be interesting.

My elder daughters first day at school should have been a joyous walk as a family to the school gates but instead involved a hectic drive from docklands to where we normally live, obviously the girls sleeping patterns have been totally buggered by the 9 moves, somehow we've stayed strong but someone has to be held responsible for all the shit we have had to deal with everyday since November.

During this time I had to fight cable/phone/broadband suppliers, water suppliers and generally deal with cock up after cock up by incompetent fools. Yeah I beat them all and refused to succumb and pay bill demands for inferior services and I'm not finished yet.

For me this country is fucked and obviously too many fat cat managers are cashing in while there unskilled so called skilled workforce just blag their way through a working day.

My mind is just starting to clear and normality is I believe just around the corner.

The girls are in France for the summer and I'm gonna have the house in tip top condition for their return.

So pleased the banks got their arses kicked for ridiculous charges and yes I even got a bit myself, we can say no and "I won't back down" with the insurers who are apparently hard to beat.

Ok that's enough  moaning and I'll be back on track soon working towards another album and getting the finest acoustic combo together, I've got a bass player now and some other players to meet over the coming weeks.

I did manage to rebuild the site and I'll be updating soon.

Thanks for dropping by.
