My last night in Spain, I've just spent a family holiday here. A very reflective time after a very very up and down 2011.

Most or at least 2 thirds of the year were spent getting the house sorted and dealing with insurers after the flood.

I never mentioned in my blogs or on Facebook that my brother was undergoing treatment for cancer, well I'm happy to tell you that he was given the all clear and he is in remission. A very private affair but glad to be able to spread some good news to end the year and head into 2012 with a clearer train of thought.

A burst of activity towards the end of 2011 on the music front, I signed a new publishing deal for my last album and have things in place for making a documentary about my journey as a singer songwriter.  I start filming this month and will be documeting some live stuff, interviews and at last I'll be back in the studio to record a song called "Beautiful" this track was on my first album but I was never happy with that recording and have such a clear picture of how I want it to sound now.

In fact last year I learned a lot about the music industry of today and what I need to succeed, I have a structure now and good people working with me. Now is the time for a small label to come on board that can get me out on the road with my planned CD release of "Birth Death And In Between" and my follow up album is ready to roll.

Aside from getting in the studio as part of the filming project I don't have the sessions timed for making the new album but asap is the goal.

Pretty tired now as I look out over the Atlantic in southern Spain, always a downer when a holiday comes to an end but I'm excited about getting back to London and making more music.
